Perception of Man

This blog is about human perception. I will discuss how God uses parables to explain the true nature of God like.
For God said…

YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE; FOR THE HEART OF THIS PEOPLE HAS BECOME DULL, WITH THEIR EARS THEY SCARCELY HEAR, AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES, OTHERWISE THEY WOULD SEE WITH THEIR EYES, HEAR WITH THEIR EARS, AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN, AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.’

Parables are like an example of what the kingdom of God is like. We as humans are very materialistic and we see or hear things according to our own understanding. The reason why God talks in parables is because we become blinded to the truth even when we see the truth. Only children can understand the whole meaning of the words. We deny what we cannot see because we want to see things according to our own observation.

For example the disciples Phillip keep asking “Where God is?” in John 14 and Jesus reply…
"Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father '?

Even though Philip was told where God is He still did not believe Jesus is the Father. He was expecting something grand. He think like other man would think so therefore God said you will keep on hearing or seeing but will not understand. This is what happen to man when they read the bible they have different interpretation or perception of the words of God. People question God and God replies but they do not understand because we are expecting what we can see and touch.
Even though Jesus showed them many miracles and wonders people were not satisfied because they had evil in their hearts. People wanted control and power like Jesus had. Many people will test God to observe how he does it and where he gets his power.
Even if Jesus said He will rise on the third day people will still not believe him because he cannot see it. For example Thomas in John 19
Thomas said to the other disciples…
“Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.”
Or…
Even if Jesus said to Peter he will deny him three times Peter did not believe him until it happened and believe.

These are the things that were mysterious to the disciples and believed once they saw it. They did not understand until it was shown to them and believe. This is what will happen to unbeliever once the kingdom of God comes.
We question and mock God now but when the time comes we will not question him anymore because everything he said will be fulfilled and we will be glad.
We deny God many times but God understand that we are unbelieving and he will heal our unbelief. This is what will the Messiah will do.
